Russell Cotes Art Gallery and Museum undertook a charging trial during the summer months following which they wished to research the opinions of residents and visitors on this charge.
Face-to-face surveys were conducted in Bournemouth town centre. There was also the opportunity for residents to take part in an online survey which included questions on this topic.
Generally the trial charging period and consultation response was seen as positive. As a result an entry fee of £5 will be charged during the peak season from 1st April - 30th September. This will help to generate much needed income for the Museum.
