Volunteer of the Year Awards

PLEASE NOTE THIS INFORMATION IS ONLY FOR GROUPS WORKING IN THE BOURNEMOUTH BH1-BH11 AREA

The Mayor of Bournemouth Volunteer of the Year Awards scheme is now open for nominations.

In addition to the traditional ‘Volunteer of the Year’ award and ‘Group of  the Year’ award, we are really pleased to announce that there is now a new category, which is for ‘Young Volunteer of the Year’. This is open to any young person under the age of 18 who is currently volunteering in Bournemouth. This is a great opportunity for young people to be recognised for the volunteering that they do and for the difference that they make within their local community.

Before nominating someone, please read through the attached criteria which are very straightforward. Please note, you can submit one side of an A4 sheet of paper to support your nomination, this can either by posted as per the address below or emailed to: mayor@bournemouth.gov.uk  

To nominate a young person, individual or group, you can either:

  • Print the attached application form and fill in the details by hand. The form and any supporting evidence should be returned to:

Mayor of Bournemouth Volunteers’ Awards, c/o The Mayor’s Award PA, Mayor’s Parlour, Town Hall, Bourne Avenue, Bournemouth, BH2 6DY

 

Nominations must be in by 31st March. Anything received after this date will not be considered. The Awards Ceremony will be held on the evening of 16th May 2017 and it will be great to see you and your volunteers there.
