The General Election is nigh, and Bournemouth University’s Executive Business Centre is pioneering a new kind of public event to make the politicians accessible to the local business community.
The ‘Meet the Politicians’ evening will be in their sparkling new headquarters at 89 Holdenhurst Road, BH8 8EB on Friday 26 March from 7-9pm.
Charlie Wilkinson, Head of Executive Education at The Business School, said:
“We want to bring representatives of the different political parties, including most of the Bournemouth candidates in the General Election, into contact with the local community.
And we want to organise a networking event with a difference, showing off our new facilities over a glass of wine and some nibbles.”
Eight individuals, drawn from the local community, will be asked to give short presentations on what changes they would like to see in the conurbation in the coming years. The political parties will then have a chance to respond.
Tickets will be £10 and they include wine and a light buffet. To buy a ticket with a credit card call Ralph Allsop on 01202 968763 or send an email to rallsopp@bournemouth.ac.uk and he will call you back
