| What we do |
Dorset Police have been working closely with the community of Bournemouth, and other local agencies for many years, and work, for example, involving the protection of children and tackling drug abuse has clearly demonstrated the value of the partnership approach. The Police and Bournemouth Borough Council developed the recent Bournemouth Community Safety Strategy specifically to build on these achievements, address local Crime and Disorder issues, and support the positive development of the community. Dorset Police is totally committed to this strategy which will fully support the aims of The Bournemouth Partnership, 'Building a Better Bournemouth'.
|
| Contribution to Partnership | Dorset Police are committed to providing a high quality of service to the community of Bournemouth, that represents value for money and strives to ensure that Bournemouth is a safe environment in which to work, visit and reside. Through working closely in partnership with the community, and other agencies, it is our aim to promote community safety, through the prevention and reduction of crime and anti-social behaviour. Through consultation, we aim to reduce the fear of crime and provide a constructive approach to tackling the Crime and Disorder issues that are of a particular concern to the local community. |
