About this Consultation

Bournemouth Borough Council has appointed local consultants, Feria Urbanism, to conduct an in-depth consultation and research project to create a vision for 'Bournemouth By Night'.

The project involves consultation with all relevant stakeholders including, amongst others, local traders, Dorset Police and Bournemouth University.

The consultation involves a combination of one-to-one stakeholder interviews, followed by a series of participatory workshop events.

The project aims to

create a vision for 'Bournemouth By Night'
understand the roles of all stakeholders
improve community safety
understand the behaviour and size of key markets
understand and improve the environment of the night
agree key commercial principles that guide policy makers
outline a development plan to deliver growth in the night time offer in Bournemouth including the arts and culture element
recommend some recession busting tactics
consider the implications of change in Bournemouth town centre to the wider areas.
