DOTS Disability consulted with disabled people to review a draft ‘A Fairer Bournemouth’ Single Equality Scheme.
The scheme aims to set out Bournemouth Borough Council’s commitment to equality and fairness. It aims to ensure they have a coherent and strategic approach to equality, diversity and human rights. It aims to show how the Council recognises and responds to the changing profile of it’s customers, communities and staff and delivers services that are appropriate to the needs of the user.
The purpose of this consultation was to provide feedback on the areas of the document surrounding the issues faced by disabled people.
