About this Consultation

DOTS Disability was engaged by Bournemouth Borough Council to consult
and involve disabled people in the selection process and creation of 4 new
accessible beach huts, now located on the seafront at Boscombe. This particular
consultation is the culmination of the involvement of disabled people in this project
over the past two years.

Once the beach huts were installed on-site at Boscombe Seafront a final
consultation was requested to identify any snags and to ensure the detail is refined
to meet the needs of the people who will actually use the beach huts.

Six people took part in the consultation, including wheelchair users, mobility scooter
users, people with learning disabilities, and carers.
