What we do	Abbey Life has a stated policy towards working with the Community: To develop working links with external local groups; and to enable Abbey Life employees and the local community to benefit from mutual development opportunities. Up to six separate working relationships have been achieved in the areas of Education, Social Exclusion and Health and Health Awareness, typically having a high level of employee involvement. The company wishes to further develop it's policy by dovetailing with initiatives from the Bournemouth Partnership and would be pleased to learn of new developments from other Partnership members.
Contribution to Partnership	Abbey Life was founded in December 1961 at St. Paul's, London. The company relocated its Head Office from London to Bournemouth in 1976. Abbey Life closed in 2000 to new business but administers savings, pensions and life assurance on behalf of 1.2m people.
