What we do	To help shape the future of Bournemouth. To deliver on Bournemouth 2026 targets – Transition BH can help on the sustainable environment targets of the Partnership by helping to raise public awareness of climate change and peak oil. It also focuses on strengthening communities through people working together within neighbourhoods on action projects such as growing food locally, sharing transport and shopping locally.
Contribution to Partnership	Transition BH is part of an international network of Transition Town initiatives springing up as people get together within their communities to tackle the twin challenges of Peak Oil and Climate Change. Transition Town initiatives promote the idea that our responses to the end of the age of cheap oil need not be depressing and because each community will face its own set of problems we need to develop local solutions. Transition BH is a local ‘hub’ for the BH postcode area, aiming to support and encourage the formation of Transition Town initiatives in the area and to provide a network for communication.
