| What we do |
I hope to work towards the Community Plan by achieving consultation and debate with the youth community. This may include engaging in debate on local education standards or the environment this will involve Bournemouth, schools, sixth forms, colleges and youth clubs. The Member of the Youth Parliament will act as a conduit between young people and relevant local forums and groups in building a better Bournemouth.
|
| Contribution to Partnership | The Member of the Youth Parliament aims to give young people in Bournemouth between the ages of 11-18 a voice. This includes articulating concerns and ideas at local levels within Bournemouth, such as within the Bournemouth Youth Council, with Bournemouth MP's at Education and Lifelong Learning Panels, with local agencies who have an interest in the views and interests of young people. It also aims to give young people an opportunity to be involved in a democratic process. With opportunity to be involved in a democratic process. With consultation with youth groups, colleges and local schools Bourneouth MYP raises their concerns at local and national levels. The national UKYP sitting proviides an additional opportunity for these to be submitted in a manefesto to the government. |
