What we do	Community Care Plan, Dorset REC will: - Provide Bournemouth Borough Council with input showing the needs and concerns of black and minority ethnic people in Bournemouth - Provide insights into the cultural needs of specific minority communities - Provide or enable channels to develop whereby the various minority ethnic communities can make client contact with services - Work with the local authority and all other statutory agencies to root out institutional racism and implement the Home Secretary's guidelines following the recommendations of the Stephen Lawrence Enquiry - Work with the Education Service to introduce cultural diversities to the curriculum - Help to set up Multi-Agency Panels to combat racial harassment working within the Community Safety Panel - Work with Bournemouth Borough Council to provide a welcoming and safe environment for Asylum Seekers.
Contribution to Partnership	Dorset REC aims to provide advice, information and support to Black and ethnic - Support Black and ethnic minority organisations in Bournemouth, Dorset and Poole - Provide an advice and guidance service to staff working in statutory and voluntary organisations regarding race equality issues - Organise regular meetings and events to highlight pertinent issues and celebrate the contribution Black and ethnic minority people make to Bournemouth, Dorset and Poole.
