What we aim to achieve

Vision 1.7 Local people have a greater choice and influence over local decision making and a greater role in public service delivery

Goals for 2011:

  1. Increase public involvement in decision making at local, borough and national level through voting in elections and taking active role on local issues
  2. Increase volunteering and ensure that the voluntary sector’s contribution in delivering public services is recognised and valued
  3. Improve the quality of life for disadvantaged people through good service delivery which is responsive to neighbourhood needs
