What we are already doing

3.7.1 Provide comprehensive support for sex workers including; harm reduction, health education and drug and alcohol treatment

Already we have...

1. Strategy has been completed and action plan developed. Treatment for substance misuse is based is on need, are avoiding the title of priority groups to ensure equitable services.

2. Under accommodation, the DAAT have been working on providing a women only 5 bedded unit that is coming online in January 2010. Though not specifically for working women, any that are engaged in treatment will have limited access as one of the women only groups being catered for


We will...

1. A multi-agency Sex Worker Strategy Group will oversee the implementation of a local strategy to address sex work and reduce the harm it causes.
