Already we have... 1. To date the service has carried out 3679 home safety checks and fitted 3439 smoke detectors for vulnerable people since the financial year 2006/7. 2. LV Streetwise provided compulsory interactive fire safety awareness messages in the safety centre including prevention, detection and escape for up to 12,000 primary school children from across Dorset (up to around 3,000 from Bournemouth) (LV Streetwise) 1. Offer free home safety advice to any household in Bournemouth. For certain vulnerable people the service will provide smoke detectors and other preventative resources. 2. Identify people that may be at risk and refer them to the service for additional support. 3. Host a partnership summit that will look at the issues around fire deaths and their prevention from a county wide, strategic perspective. (Environmental Health and Consumer Services)
