About this Consultation

In 2005 a new act created additional powers for dog byelaws in green spaces.  Bournemouth Borough Council is considering whether or not to change from it’s existing byelaw arrangements and wanted to include public opinion in the decision making process.

A telephone questionnaire was carried out with dog owners and non-dog owners to gather data about what, if any, impact the changes might have.  The survey looked at how Bournemouth residents currently use local green spaces and other dog walking areas and gathered opinions around the proposed actions of the new act.
